Shenandoah Academy of Dance Dress Code

It is understood that dancers who are properly groomed, perform better in class, rehearsals and auditions. It is also very important that proper attire be worn so that instructors can properly correct alignment and placement which are essential to all forms of dance.

Ballet slippers, tap shoes and other dance shoes should not be purchased at Walmart, Target or Payless ... the quality is not the same. Quality counts! Tap shoes from other than a dancewear store will not be allowed. The biggest problem with tap shoes is that I cannot have taps that are of a lower quality on the dance floor. Screws are not inspected individually and that can cause damage to the flooring.

Absolutely no street clothes in class.

Skirts must be approved and may not be allowed at certain times during class.

No costumes allowed in classes.

Tickle Pink Performance Wear located right next to the studio stocks everything your dancer needs!
